Matching the materials and blades.

Causes of Distortions

In case of shearing plates of 5/8’’ thickness, the handheld hold-down should be tightened. Later, when using work pieces of 1/2’’ thicknesses, do not forget to set the handheld hold-down. Failure to do so will bring about distortions. The reason of this can be the automatic flipping of plates to extremely little extent. This might as well cause early wear-out of blades. The Essence of Blades

In terms of blades there exist 2 approaches. 

The 1st one is known as low-raked-angular blade, the performance of which resembles that of the guillotine. This hydraulic guillotine shear performs neat cuts upon slim materials with no risk of distortion. The machine for this access should possess good tonnages.
